Piecemakers' 2010 Challenge Project

The challenge project is designed to have our members think outside the box and use their imagination.  There will be judging by votes from the memberships and guests for first, second and third place ribbons, as well as a People's Choice award. Anyone can enter, and all are encouraged to try their hand at this fun project. It is important to remember you don't have to be an expert, or an artist.

Rule:

  1. The size of the project may not exceed 30 X 36"
  2. Work may be a small item, a table runner, a wall hanging, or any form the quilter wishes to use.
  3. The material in the fat quarter (sold for $5.00) must be the main focal fabric.
  4. Can be a standard quilting pattern or an original work.
  5. Finished project may contain other media - such as paint, etc. but must be considered a quilt project.
  6. Entrant may use any fabric from their own stash to complete the project
  7. Coordinating fabrics will also be available at Good Measure, Dollie Hewitt's shop on West Hill Road in Locke.
  8. Project will be due the first Monday of May 2010 during the guild's meeting.

If there are questions please contact Mary Helmer, Project Coordinator.
